Frequently asked questions
Answers to what people ask most
From booking an appointment to out-of-hours care: the most important questions about the practice, answered briefly.
-
How do I make an appointment?
The quickest way is our online booking system, which is available around the clock. During opening hours you can also reach us on 06192 200550. For anything that is not urgent, the contact form works too.
-
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. We continue to accept new patients, both statutory and privately insured. Just call us or book an appointment online.
-
Can I come to you from Kriftel, Kelkheim, Eppstein or another nearby town?
Yes. Patients with statutory insurance are free to choose their family doctor, wherever they live. From Kriftel, Lorsbach and Eppstein, take the S2 to Hofheim station; the practice is a five-minute walk from there. From most neighbouring towns it is about ten to twenty minutes by car.
-
How do I get to the practice by bus or train, and where can I park?
Hofheim (Taunus) station, served by the S2, RB22 and RE20, is a five-minute walk away; the Rheingaubrücke and Römerstraße bus stops are four minutes away. Paid public parking is available on Rheingaustraße and Lorsbacher Straße.
-
Which health insurers do you accept?
We treat all statutory patients as well as private patients and self-payers. For services not covered by statutory insurance we inform you about the cost beforehand.
-
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Your insurance card, and if you have them your vaccination record, medication list and allergy card, plus any letters or results from previous treatment. The fuller the picture, the more precisely we can work.
-
Can I get a prescription or referral without an appointment?
Repeat prescriptions for ongoing medication and referrals can usually be requested by phone or through the contact form. Please allow one working day. New symptoms or a change of medication require an appointment.
-
Do you make home visits?
For our own patients who cannot come to the practice for health reasons, home visits are possible in individual cases. Please let us know by phone as early in the day as possible.
-
Who do I contact outside opening hours?
Outside our opening hours the out-of-hours medical service is available on the nationwide number 116 117. In life-threatening emergencies such as a suspected heart attack or stroke, call 112 immediately.
-
Which languages are spoken at the practice?
Consultations at the practice are held in German and Turkish. This website is available in further languages so that you can read up in advance.
-
Which examinations can be done at the practice?
Ultrasound of the abdominal organs, thyroid and lungs, resting and Holter ECG, 24-hour blood pressure monitoring, lung function testing and an in-house rapid laboratory for values such as CRP, blood glucose and urine. In many cases that saves you a referral.
-
What does the focus on infectious diseases mean for me?
Infectious disease medicine deals with infections that are unclear, chronic or keep coming back — viral hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections, long COVID or infections in people with a weakened immune system. That expertise is rare in a family practice; here you have it without an extra referral.
-
Do you treat long COVID and post COVID?
Yes. We offer a structured assessment of persistent symptoms after COVID-19 and provide individual follow-up over time.
-
Which vaccinations do you offer?
All standard vaccinations recommended by the German Standing Committee on Vaccination, boosters, flu and COVID-19 vaccinations, and travel medicine advice. If you have a chronic condition or a weakened immune system, we advise you individually.
-
How do I get my laboratory results?
We contact you as soon as results are available and need to be discussed. You can also ask by phone — for data protection reasons we release results only to the patient themselves.
-
Is there parking?
There is parking in Floßwaldstraße and the surrounding streets. The practice is also easy to reach by public transport from Hofheim railway station.
-
Do you take part in disease management programmes?
Yes. We run structured treatment programmes for diabetes mellitus, coronary heart disease, COPD and asthma among others. They ensure regular check-ups and coordinated long-term care.
