Controller

The controller for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the practice named in the legal notice. You will find the contact details there and at the end of this page.

Server log files

When this website is accessed, the hosting provider automatically stores information transmitted by your browser in so-called server log files.

• Shortened or full IP address
• Date and time of access
• Name and URL of the file requested
• Volume of data transferred and confirmation of successful retrieval
• Browser and operating system used
• Referrer URL, that is the page visited previously

These data are technically necessary to deliver the website, ensure its stability and security, and fend off attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and error-free operation of the website. These data are not combined with other sources. Log files are deleted after seven days at the latest, unless a security incident requires longer retention.

Contacting us

If you contact us via the contact form, by e-mail, telephone or fax, we process the data you provide in order to answer your enquiry. The mandatory fields in the contact form are name, e-mail address and message; any further details are optional.

The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where the enquiry concerns a treatment contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

We expressly ask you not to send details of symptoms, diagnoses or findings through the contact form or by unencrypted e-mail. Health data are discussed in person or by telephone.

Your enquiry is deleted once it has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Online appointment booking

For online appointment booking we link to an external provider’s booking portal. Only when you click that link do you leave our website and data are transmitted to the provider. Their own privacy policy applies to the processing that takes place there.

Map (Google Maps)

On the home page and the contact page you can display a Google Maps map. The map is not loaded automatically: a connection to Google’s servers is established only when you press the “Load map” button.

The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When the map loads, your IP address and further usage data are transmitted to Google and cookies are stored on your device. A transfer to Google LLC in the United States cannot be ruled out; Google bases such transfers among other things on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

The legal basis is the consent you give by clicking, under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You do not have to load the map: the address, travel directions and a route-planning link are available without it. Further information is set out in Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Videos (YouTube)

On the home page we embed videos from our YouTube channel. Initially only a preview image is shown, served from our own server; no connection to YouTube is made at that point.

The video is loaded through youtube-nocookie.com only once you start it. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Your IP address and details about your device are then transmitted to Google, among other data; the extended privacy mode prevents Google from setting advertising cookies before you play a video. A transfer to the United States cannot be ruled out.

The legal basis is the consent you give by clicking the video, under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Fonts

This website uses fonts served exclusively from our own server. No connection is made to Google Fonts or any other external font service, and no data are transmitted to third parties.

Cookies, analytics and tracking

When you open this website, nothing is initially transmitted to third parties and no cookies are set for statistical purposes. On your first visit we ask for your consent in a banner. Declining and accepting are equally easy; the website is fully usable either way.

If you consent, we additionally load the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland), which sends visits and interactions on our website to Meta for reach measurement and advertising analytics and may set cookies (_fbp, _fbc). A transfer to Meta Platforms, Inc. in the USA cannot be ruled out. If you consent, we load Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-VZG191XDB6) and Google Tag Manager (both Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), along with the measurement services configured in the container, in order to analyse use of the website statistically. This may transmit your IP address and other usage data to Google and store cookies or similar technologies on your device. A transfer to Google LLC in the USA cannot be ruled out.

The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Your choice is stored in your browser (local storage, key “consent-analytics”). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future by clicking “Cookie settings” in the footer and declining. Processing carried out before withdrawal remains lawful.

Social media profiles

We link to our social network profiles in the footer. These are plain links; no content from those networks is loaded on our website and no data are transmitted to their operators merely by opening our pages. The privacy terms of the respective network apply only once you click a link.

Recipients and processors

Your data are passed to third parties only where this is necessary to handle your enquiry or where we are legally obliged to do so. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with our hosting provider. If you consent to statistics, Google Ireland Limited receives the data described in the section “Cookies, analytics and tracking”; a transfer to the USA then cannot be ruled out. Without your consent, no transfer to third countries takes place.

Your rights

You have the following rights in relation to us:

Right to complain to a supervisory authority

Independently of this, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is: Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Postfach 3163, 65021 Wiesbaden, Germany.

Medical confidentiality

Independently of data protection law, we are bound by medical confidentiality under § 203 of the German Criminal Code and the professional code for physicians in Hessen. Anything you entrust to us in the course of treatment is treated confidentially.

Changes to this notice

We update this privacy notice whenever changes to the website or to legal requirements make it necessary. The version published here applies in each case.
